So I made a post last week asking for suggestions on what to do near East Stroudsburg PA and you guys had A LOT of activities. Sadly we didn't do a whole lot since we didn't go for a long time but we've already planned our summer trip up there.
Anyway, here's the itinerary from the spring break road trip.
We left Lyndhurst NJ at about 1:30 and got to the hotel by 3, staying on I80 the whole time.
But before we checked in, I had some other priorites.
I hear K mart is the place to go for diecast cars. This one must've been skipped over. Got a couple cars but not much. Other shops had more and I'll have a big ol' haul thread later on as I did get quite a few new cars.
I HIGHLY recommend anyone in the area go try the Blue Tequila, it's so good. I always get a bacon cheeseburger with chipotle sauce. The GF got soft tacos with guacomole. Drinks consisted of a Jack & Coke for me and a Jose Cuervo Margarita for her. Sadly they closed real early and we went for dinner at about 5:30. By 9 we were hungry again. Gas station next door equals a late night snack run.
Plot twist: the cookie was crap. Tasted stale.
We wanted to go to the JWR Auto Museum but it was an hour and a half from the hotel so instead we walked around East Stroudsburg for a while and grabbed some lunch at CiCis Pizza because they don't exist in Jersey before heading up to Callie's Candy Kitchen.
On the way back, I noticed an abandoned summer couple lodge (I know a little about the history, it was a couples vacation spot back in the 60s-70s but people started wanting to vacation at the beach and not the mountains so it closed up and hasn't been used since) so I stopped for pictures.
There was still a ton of snow that stopped us from exploring further (we couldn't reach the hotel rooms because of the snow) but we're planning on going back during summer and snooping around a bit.
After I dropped the GF off, I went to a cemetary to pay respects to a passed family member. I've wanted to take a pic of my car in a graveyard for a long time but always felt that was disrespectful. But now I was already there and just snapped a quick one to settle that desire.

Nice Volvo. I have been looking at these for my wife. What say you?

It's comfy, first of all. Seats are like living room sofas. The rear seats could be a little more spacious but I rarely use it so whatever. Radio sounds nice, bassy even without a subwoofer. Turbo spools a little late so it's not quick but at speed it's fine. So far its been pretty reliable as well and mine is nearly at 115k miles.
